Southern Delivery System Components


Phase I (construction from 2010-2016)

  • Pueblo Dam Connection

  • Three Raw Water Pump Stations

  • Juniper Pump Station in Pueblo County  

  • Williams Creek Pump Station in El Paso County 

  • Bradley Pump Station in El Paso County 

  • Water Treatment Plant (initially capable of purifying 50 million gallons of water per day)

  • A Treated Water Pump Station (and additional pipelines to move water into the distribution system to customers)

Phase II (built in 2020-2025, as demand requires)

SDS will build Phase II when communities need more water. Phase II adds two reservoirs, and expands the capacity of the water treatment plant and pump stations to be able to deliver more than 100 million gallons of treated drinking water per day. 

Phase II includes:

  • Upper Williams Creek reservoir
  • Williams Creek reservoir
  • Expand pumping and treatment capacity, up to 100 million gallons of water per day
