Construction of SDS will be conducted in two phases to meet water demand. The first phase began in 2011 and concludes in 2016. Phase I includes construction of 62 miles of raw and finished water pipelines, pump stations, and a water treatment plant. Phase II of the project will include the construction of a terminal storage reservoir at Upper Williams Creek and an exchange reservoir, including return flow diversion and conveyance, at Lower Williams Creek. Pueblo West Pipeline--Construction under way. Construction began Sept. 26, 2011. Construction scheduled for completion in the summer of 2012. For those that
would like to see a specialized map (see map) of where the project is in relation to their property, please send an e-mail with your address to sdsinfo@csu.org. Rock trenching is under way south of US Highway 50 with various other activities active along the alignment.
Midway Ranches area Pipeline--Pre construction activities occurring. Construction scheduled to begin Nov. 15, 2012. Construction scheduled for completion by the end of 2012.

Marksheffel Road finished water pipeline--between Constitution Avenue and Meadow Brook Parkway: completed April 15th, 2011.
Squirrel Creek Road pipeline near the Broadacre Landfill--construction under way. Construction began May 18th, 2011. Construction scheduled for completion in the Spring of 2012.
