Highway 115 Alternative

The Highway 115 Alternative through Fremont County is a back-up option for SDS. With the Highway 115 Alternative, SDS Project Participants would take water they own the rights to from the north bank of the Arkansas River at Highway 115 near the City of Florence. A pipeline would be built to transport the water west and north of Penrose and then along Highway 115. Three water pump stations would be built in Fremont County to help transport water through 17 miles of underground pipeline in Fremont County to El Paso County.
